Ow ;Lai "Trap.
I dreamed of a desert drear, And one that walked thereon ; When he came the violet verge anear My dream was gone.
I dreamed of a sail all white, Over a purple sea ; When it reached to the boundary-line of light It was lost to me.
I thought of the friend I had known When the burdens of life he bore ; But be reached to the light of fame's golden zone, And I knew him no more.
I thought how to one I had given My love and my life to be ; But she chose maiden life for the love of Heaven,
