Moon-struck

Oh, well for him who strikes the moon. All knowledge is a certain boon.
But have they thought to ask the moon Just what the moon will say?
They boast to see his other side.
But moons are lords of time and tide And do not like to be defied By man in idle play.
Oh, ill for him who mocks the moon. What tricks he'll play before high noon, Who knows? Man should not trust the moon Because the moon can slay.
