THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION.
[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR,—Your statement that a majority of two-thirds of the Dele- gates will be required to nominate a candidate for the Presidency at Cincinnati is an error. The Democratic party does require a two-thirds majority in its Convention, but a simple majority is the rule of the Republican party.—I am, Sir, &c.,
