[To THE Eorroi Oi THE "SrserAros."] Snt,—I venture to ask if you can find space for a humble appeal to your readers on behalf of the Oharch Army Fresh-Air Homes— an appeal from hundreds of mothers and children in the depths of proverty, who find in these Homes the opportunity of a holiday by the sea or in the 'midst of green fieldi for which they would otherwise long in vain. We send mothers with their children, thusgiiring to many an overtired mother freedom to take' mush-- needed change and rest, with the added pleasure of her children's presence, and without the anxiety of what is to ))e1301110 of the children While she is away. £2 2s: Will give two' weeks' holiday to a 'mother and three children at our Monies Bexhill, St. Leonard% or Goditone. Is it a great sum to ask ? Surely not. If friends could only see the delight of our guests at gilding themselves for a while among surroundings so different limn their homes in 'London baCk streets, and could watch them impreving in looks and health duriner their &Anklet's stay in fresh air and sunshine (with plenty of good food, for many of them are more than half-starved), we know that we should not have to ask in vain. May we, then, beg for a prompt and liberal response' to this humble cry from careworn mothers and ailing Children cooPed up in Londonwhen ill the world is thinking Of
