Mrs. Pratt of Paradise Farm. By Katharine Tynan. (Smith, Elder
and Co. 6s.)—After all the dismal novels which have been published lately it is a relief to turn to the charming country story which " Katharine Tynan " calls Mrs. Pratt of Paradise Farm. Mrs. Pratt herself is a delightful figure, and her splendid young lodgers are almost equally attractive. It will be a great relief to the- reader when the shadow which hangs over the unfortunate Mrsi_ Pratt is lifted at the end of the book. Altogether the story may be recommended as a tonic to people whose spirits are low.
