SOWING AND PLANTING

May is a month in which to sow such things as main-crop peas, French beans and scarlet runners, although some people plant the latter from boxes when frost danger is past. It is also a month for planting out leeks, brassicas, etc., which, in dry weather, may be puddled in when the .,un is off the plot.
