Edward in the lions' den Sir: May I point out

to Auberon Waugh (Edward in the lions' den,' 3 May) that the British National party merged eighteen months ago with the League of Empire Loyalists, Greater Britain Movement, and Racial Preser- vation Society, to form the National Front?

May I also correct Mr Waugh's contention that the BNP would make excellent `steward- fodder' at Conservative meetings. We old BNP lions used to gobble up Tory stewards for hors-d'oeuvre before moving on to the main course at Labour meetings.
