NEWS OF THE WEEK.

THE rumours of modifications in the French Ministry come thick and fast, the latest being that one will be composed • of M. 011ivier, as Minister of Foreign Affairs ; Count Darn, of the Interior; M. Louvet, of Finance ; General Lebeed, of War ; M. Buffet, of Commerce and Public Works, and M. de Tal- houet, of Palk Instruction. This would be a Cabinet formed from the majority ; but the telegram leaves the Premiership apparently unfilled, and the next change in the Emperor's mind may upset the programme, which is the fourth or fifth circulated this week.
