The report of the Emperor of Russia's death, said to
have taken place on the 5th instant, has spread far and wide. Berlin letters, of the 6th instead, received in Paris on Thursday, mention his illness. But among our laat regular advices from St. Petersburgh, which come down to the 4th instant, is a letter from an eminent manufacturing firm in that city, which stator that the Emperor had on that day inspected their manufactory, where he spent some time; and that he was in improved health and spirits. The death-blast, therefore, that has been sounded throughout Europe, is in- credible; unless it means that he has been assassinated.
