lTo THE EDITOR or THE " SPECTATOR "I SIR,—Do any of your readers know the name of the author of the following lines? All I know about them is that they used to be sung at John Hullah's singing classes at St. Martin's Hail in the "fifties,' to a melody known as the Spanish Chant.—I
Far, far o'er hill and dale Green woods are changing, Autumn her many hues Slowly arranging,
And o'er the smiling land God pours with open hand Earth's fruits at our command With love unchanging."
