Market sharing

Sir: Jo Grimond, after giving us some of his highly perceptive comments on the state of the nation (27 June), wonders whether the Liberals and Social Democrats might 'strike out for a new highly decentralised political economy'. Since the main item of policy the two parties seem to share is their adherence to the Common Market, is this at all likely? Irfon Roberts
