Crossing the boundaries

From Mr T. Massey Lynch Sir: How agreeable to read Matthew Parris (Another voice, 11 May) on the River Police determinedly securing 'their' body on the Thames shore. Another boundary of authority, the River Note in County Kilkenny, saw the excited and triumphant children of my solicitor-cum-coroner uncle running to report their findings of a body on the bank bordering his fields. My uncle was aghast, extra work not being sought in the Republic, but the sagacious children reassured him. 'It's all right, Father, we've pushed it over to the other side.'
