The Slow Man, as the last Adelphi farce is called,
is a mistake com- mitted by a very clever writer. We look to Mr. Mark Lemon for a nice little tableau de genre of modern life, with details highly elaborated and highly coloured, but not so much so as to become exaggerated and un- natural. When he gives us a "larking" prize-fighting story, filled with practical jokes that illustrate no idea, we are disappointed.
