Enough about Gstaad
From Frederick Forsyth
Sir: Every winter those of us dedicated to The Spectator and thus to the column of Master Taki are forced to grin and bear it as we are treated to yet another rivet-by-rivet description of a Swiss townlet called Gstaad (High life). Over and over again.
From those of us who do not know it, have never been, do not intend to, know no one there and do not do their eating, drinking, socialising, partying or boffing there, could I remind Taki of the last line of dialogue by Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind? It was of course, ‘Frankly, my dear ... ’.
