I took an equal interest in Amanda Craig's article about the licensed abortionist, though I thought the conflicting philosophical approaches of the two medical students deserved fuller cover. I suppose my interest derives from

my possession of two feet, and having been at one time a foetus. If you carry a similar day in the working life of a rectal surgeon in a future issue, I will address it with the personal involvement of one who possesses a rectum, even though Mr Garston may have made other arrangements.
