WOMEN'S WEEK AT WEMBLEY, JULY 21ST TO 26TH.-

SIR,—May I draw the attention of your women readers who are interested in Imperial matters to the six Conferences on the interests of the women of the Dominions to be held at Wembley from July 21st to the 26th? Each Dominion is

responsible for one day's programme, and Committees have been formed at the instance of the various High Commissioners to organize the events of each day. The speakers are all women of distinction connected with the particular Dominion on whose day they are' speaking, and the music and cinema entertainments promise to be of the greatest interest.

The Conference is held under the auspices of the Women's Section of the British Empire Exhibition, and is made possible by the generosity of the Board of the Exhibition in lending Conference Hall No. 1 (situated at the west end of the Palace of Industry) free of charge. The complete programme is as follows :- Monday, July 21st. 11.30-1 o'clock. New Zealand. Subjects :—Child Welfare ; Progress of Women ; Education ; Maori Land.

Tuesday,- July 22nd. 11-1 o'clock. The Union of South Africa. Subjects :—Home Life and Native Life in South Africa. Wednesday, July 23rd. 11-1 o'clock. The Australian Common.

Thursday, July 24th. 11.30-1 o'clock. Canada.

Subjects :—The Economic Position of Women in Canada— Their Evolution as Governed by the Canadian Scheme of Education.

Friday, July 25th. 11.30-1 o'clock. Indian Empire. Subjects :—Women's Life in India—In the Homes—In Social Work—In the Professions.

Saturday, July 26th. 2.30-4 o'clock. Newfoundland.

Subjects :—The Position of Women in Newfoundland and their. Chief Social Movements and Interests.

This Conference will be held in the afternoon instead of the morning and in Conference Hall No. 2.

A number of entertainments have also been arranged by the Dominion Women's Committees for the afternoons.

New Zealand Day. July 21st, at 3 o'clock, in Conference Hall No. 1—a Concert by New Zealand Artists. South Africa Day. July 22nd, at 3 o'clock, in the South African Pavilion—a Cinema Entertainment.

Australia Day. July 23rd, from 3 o'clock to 5.30, in Con- ference Hall No. 1—a Concert in which the leading artists from each of the Australian States have offered their services.

Canada Day. July 24th, at 3 o'clock, in Conference Hall No. 1-6. Cinema Entertainment.

India Day. July 25th, at 3 o'clock, in Conference Hall No. 1 — Tableaux from 'the " Moghul Princesses," and Indian Music.

H.R.H. Princess Arthur of Connaught has graciously consented to be present on the South Africa Day. H.H. Princess Helena Victoria on the Days for New Zealand and India.

H.H. Princess Marie Louise on the Days for Australia, South Africa

and Newfoundland. • The Lady Patricia Ramsay on the Day for Canada.

Tickets may be had on application to the Secretary of the Women's Section, British Empire Exhibition, Wembley, or at the door. They are free of charge, except those for the Australian Concert.
