Sir: There was one unfortunate unforeseen consequence of the Pope's

visit: Mr Auberon Waugh is now looking at the Church of England. This is carrying the Ecumenical movement too far. The reason the C of E is nice and cosy at present is that people like Mr Waugh stay with their clear- thinking, cold, logical minds amongst the elite of the Roman Catholics.
