Mr. Tynan's Word So someone 'has said it. And, of
course, on BBC. In the middle of the week the story 'was big enough to compete ,for front page headlines with Rhodesia and London's dim-6ut. The ensuing fuss was monumental and I found the Corporation's apology and Mr. Tynan's pompous justification equally laughable. I did not bear Mr. Tynan: some weeks ago sadly and sorrow- fully I wrote off BBC-3 'as a dead duck. But I am glad it is still being monitored and no one need fear for our standards of decent language while my friend Brigadier Terence Clarke is around and watchful for the merest hint of an immodest word.
