An Easy Seleetionfrons Cicero's Correspondence. Edited by J. D. Duff,
M.A. (Cambridge University Press. is. 6d.)—The editor gives us in his introduction a short sketch of Cicero's life and notices of his correspondence. The letters used cover a period of about sixteen years (59-43 33.c.), the last being dated February 2nd in the year of his death. They are concerned with politics ; with this principle of selection we have no fault to find, for it works in with other studies. The idea is a good one, and well carried out. A lad who can read these letters and has a fair understanding of the events and persons with whom they are concerned has made a good advance.
