Sta,—In speaking in last week's Spectator of the above as the Red Comyn's words you are putting the murderer's saying into the mouth of the victim. Do you not remember "The Lord of the Isles ":—
" Vain Kirkpatrick's bloody dirk, Making sure of murder's work"?
