Sir: In the article 'The Pope reasserts his power' (11 May) you write that the Cardin- al Josef Tomko is the highly independent Czech. But this is incorrect because the Cardinal J. Tomko is a Slovak. I hope you'll pay an attention to it and correct the mistake.
