No noise
Sir: I recently very much enjoyed a holiday at the Isle of Colonsay Hotel which adver- tises in your classified columns. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food varied and excellently cooked and both set prices and extras (tea, wine etc) most reasonable. However, prospective custom- ers who are lovers of noise should be warned of the absence of music in the dining room, and television (Peregrine Worsthorne, Diary, 25 May). The only set I saw was a switched-off portable tucked away in an anteroom and it might even, come to think of it, have been out of order. K. A. Silcocks
