the old favourites, " Cinderella," " Puss-in-Boots," " Jack and the Beanstalk," " Dick Whittington," " Tom Thumb," " Little Red Riding-Hood" (who, in obedience to modern humani- tarianism, is not allowed to be eaten by the wolf), and " Valentine and Orson." The illustrations, by Miss Constance Haslewood, are above the average in merit.
