The Paris correspondent of the Times states in Friday's paper

that a meeting of Socialist Deputies has been held in the Chamber to discuss the increased cost of living. It was decided to urge upon M. Briand the necessity of reducing the Customs tariff, and in particular the duty on corn. An agitation throughout France is to be organised by the party.
