The Anti-Whites
SIR,--Mr. Lewis Hastings argues (Spectator. August 6) that because the Blacks in the Congo behaved badly, then the Blacks in South Africa, more than 500 miles away, are not to be trusted with self-government— or with even a say in government. Surely, then, by the same token it must be true that because the Whites in Germany behaved badly, then the Whites in Britain—less than 300 miles away—are not to be trusted with self-government, either. If Mr. Hastings denies this, then he must be indulging in that despic- able racist delusion that Whites are Good and Blacks are Bad. So would he care to let us know which of his particular delusions we are expeCted to believe?
