There have been three meetings of the Cabinet Council this

week—on Tuesday, Thursday, and yesterday. The Marquis of Lansdowne has not attended any of them ; Lord John Russell arrived late on Tuesday ; and Lord Palmerston was absent yesterday. All the sittings have been of un- usual length.
