Minor Antiquilies of Edinburgh, by the author of Traditions of
Edinburgh, is a third and supplementary volume to the latter work. It is even richer than its predecessors. " Mine own ro- mantic town " is fully proved to be as wealthy in antiquarian curi- osities as in the natural treasures of the picturesque. Mr. CRAM- mutes industry is most praiseworthy : literally no stone is left un- turned; and what is more, scarcely a parchment or ancient manu- script has he had access to, that he has not rifled of some curious incident or anecdote, story or complaint.
