A Son of the Immortals. By Louis Tracy. (Ward, Lock
and Co. 6s.)—This is a mock royal romance dealing with the imaginary kingdom of Kosnovia, conveniently situated in that corner of South-East Europe in which modern imaginary king- doms are usually placed. It must be confessed that the book loses in interest on the discovery of the subterfuge by which the author extracts his hero from the embarrassment of becoming King of Kosnovia when the young lady he loves refuses to be Queen. But the book is full of exciting incidents, and readers -who like this sort of fiction will find Mr. Tracy's volume adequate both in matter and workmanship.
