and Co. 5s. net.)—Fleeming Jenkin was Professor of Engineering at Edinburgh from 1868 to 1885, and this memoir of his life was originally published three years later at the beginning of a collection of his essays. It has since been printed in three of the collected editions of Stevenson's works, but has never before appeared separately.
