Left-wing hypocrisy
Battle is now seriously joined between the Secretary of State for Social Services and the medical profession. In desperation rather than as a result of any predetermined policy, the BMA conference at Hull has decided to engage in a fight for the survival of what quality remains in their profession. They must be heartened in their decision by the revolting hypocrisy continually revealed by their opponents. To Mrs Castle and Mr Wilson as recipients of private health treatment must now be added even Mrs Brookestone, herself the leader of the Charing Cross dissidents; and the matter is made worse by the ugly threats Mrs Brookestone has uttered against the person who has revealed her guilty secret. In truth hypocrisy is becoming the hallmark of left-wing politics, and the more consistently that fact is emphasised the better.
