Waugh bashing
Sir: Mr Slater (November 6) suggests that were Mr J. B. Priestley to ". . . cross polemical swords with Mr Waugh . . . He would make mincemeat of him." I am sure that mincemeat is exactly what Mr Priestley would labour to make when defending himself with a sword. Mr Waugh on the other hand gives every evidence of knowing what a sword is for.
