From Mr Thomas James Sir: Charles Moore is right ('Jesus is not a Tory', 13 November) when he says that Jesus was neither Tory nor New Labour. Everyone knows that he was a Christian Democrat. Like Pius XI he would certainly have condemned the 'satanic optimism' of both capitalism and communism.
