A WISE FORBEARANCE.

WE are glad to record that Mr. Neale, the Vicar of Horsey, upon whose prosecution of the two persons who sang a hymn in his churchyard we animadverted last week, has withdrawn the cases upon appeal to the Sessions. This is honourable to the Vicar ; he contents himself with procuring a definition of his legal right, and refuses to be a party to proceedings tainted with tendencies to oppression. No one denies the Vicar's right ; but the right will be now much more cheerfully conceded. The clergy ought ever to bear in..mind that " all things are not expedient," which are lawful to them.
