Political union

Sir: It is difficult to understand the contradiction inherent, in statements by proMarketeers like John Grigg who at one and the same time call for 'closer political union in Western Europe' and express fears of its Finlandisation (7 August). With the communist Trojan Horse already well established within the EEC gates, nothing can advance the process of Finlandisation more than political union within the EEC.
