Tell me not, Jim, that though you signed, Shop stewards knew, of course, That documents of such a kind Could have no legal force.
True, you had other fish to fry And cakes in York to burn, And with a louder voice could cry That Ford's must wait their turn.
Yet this inconstancy was such To land us in a mess.
You could not love the law so much Loved you not honour less.
