A somewhat similar magazine, but intended, we should say, for
older children, is Our Darlings. Edited by Dr. Bernardo. (J. F. Shaw and Co.)—It has a special reference to the good work with which the editor has identified his name. With its prizes for answers to "Scripture Puzzles," for essays, and the like, it maintains what we are sure is highly prized, a quasi-personal connection with its young readers. Now that Aunt Judy's Magazine, in which the sym- pathetic nature of the editor did this work admirably, is no more, Dr. Bernardo's magazine ought to fill a very useful place in the serial literature for the young.
