RISE LN AUSTRALIAN STOCKS.
NOT the least interesting feature in Markets has been the advance in Australian Stocks following upon the announce- ment of the result of the general election. In the local Stock Markets in Melbourne some of the Internal Government Loans of Attstralia- wkre rather dull some two or three months ago on fears as to the possible result of the contest, but as the time of the election drew near there appeared to be greater feeling .of .confidence, and prices recovered most of the earlier declines, while now that the results of the elections are known prices for Australian Internal Loans have risen to, a level which in many instances gives even a smaller
