Kremlin watcher
Sir: One is naturally grateful when, at the age of 97, one is resuscitated, or nearly. This service you have rendered me in your article 'Snatch of the Baltic' (7 September). I was the secretary whose removal to Moscow provoked Snatch into indicting a Snatchanasian formulation of the objec- tions to leaving three legations without even one secretary between them. It was of no avail. I was duly transported to a snug little flat opposite the Kremlin; that was in 1930, but has had other occupants since I left it in 1932.
Meanwhile the Athanasian creed as formu- lated by Snatch retains, I am assured, a per- manent niche in F.O. mythology.
