We regret to record the sudden death of the Right
Hon. J. R. Davison, Member for Durham, and Judge Advocate-General. He died of heart disease at a friend's house in Suffolk, where he had retired to rest apparently in full health. Mr. Davison was a man of whom Ministers thought more than the public, and it will be difficult to fill his place. The most prominent member named for it is Mr. T. Hughes, an experienced lawyer, who has throughout • his career devoted much of his attention to the Army, and has frequently helped to codify Army Regulations.
