Mr. Boucicault passed through the Bankruptcy Court on the 19th

August, amidst a shower of compliments from com- missioner and attorneys. He stated that in one year in Eng- land he had, with his wife's assistance, made 23,000/., and at one period 1,000/. a week. It has all disappeared in two years, partly through investments in America, which now produce only taxes.
