In the "Told to the Children" Series (T. C. and
E. C. Jack, ls. 6d. net) we have Stories from the Odyssey, by Jeanie Lang. This is sufficiently well done; but Miss Lang cannot have found in the Iliad that of the heroes who fought at Troy "none was braver than Odysseus." He mixed discretion with valour. Once at least he turned his back. Ajax Telamon was certainly braver. Also • Stories of Guy of Warwick, by H. E. Marshall.—In the "Children's Heroes" (same publishers, la. 6d. net), The Story of Stanley, by Vautier Golding.—In the " Shown to the Children " Series (same publishers, 2s. 6c1. net), Flowers, by Janet Harvey Selman, Described by C. E. Smith.
