The Golden Cockerel Press, whose books are always beautifully produced,
have sent us a seventeen-and-sixpenny edition of The Fables of Aesop. Letterpress and woodcuts are both delightful. The couching fox on page 40 and a picture of the washing of a blackamoor redound especially to the credit of the illustrator, whose name is not given. This would make a good safe present, for everybody in his right senses from eight to eighty likes Aesop.
