Trifles for Travellers. By Robert Henniker, M.A. (Murray and Co.)—The

practice of reprinting occasional essays can go no further than it is carried here, and the only thing to be said in its defence is that a very small railway book cannot be considered a great evil. The essays themselves are short papers contributed during the last ten years to various country publications, among which the dlawick Mercury seems to be the favourite. For essays of this kind they are remarkably good, but we are it a loss to Bee anything in them which rendered it desirable to give them a permanent form.
