Sir: A.R. Evans's letter fills me with horror: one of

the most unattractive developments of your sister publications, the Daily and Sunday Telegraphs, is the ubiquitous picture of the journalist at the head of the article. Please do not follow suit. I yearn for a return to the days when those august publi- cations were content with minimalist head- lines and no writers' mugshots.
