The first.Good Friday fete at the . Crystal palace was
held yesterday— the most conspicuous inauguration of the brief holidays of Easter. The Palace was open from nine m the morning; but the great influx of visitors took place from and after one o'clock. The crowded state of the London Bridge terminus all day may be easily. imagined from the fact that 18,000 persons were carried to Sydenhara in the course of the day. The attractions were the Palace itsel4 and a good concert of sacred music. It was a auoceeeful experiment ; and afforded ample testimony of the good behaviour of a very mixed assembly on what may be called a Sunday holiday.
