Sir: I found Nicholas Davenport's argument, in 'Borrowing and market .pointers' rather ironic. He seems to be unaware that Mr Benn is no longer at the Industry post, for he calls Mr Varley 'Energy Secretary,' Then he goes on to. say that business confidence is being restored. I should think that this is precisely because Mr Benn has been consigned to the backwaters of the North Sea and its oil.
