—This is the sequel to a former volume on Jesus Christ," which we noticed at some length at the time of its appearance, and is, like that, a series of "conferences," delivered by Lacordaire in the Cathedral of Notre Dame. These volumes are published under authority, and are translated by a " tertiary " of the same Dominican order to which the great preacher belonged. Every reader will appreciate the eloquence and power of these discourses, which, as may be gathered from the title, occupy a neutral ground on which all believers in Revelation may meet. The translation preserves with considerable slICCOEis the fire and vigour of the original.
