Reassurance

Sir: If Miss Amelia Woolfson (Letters, 15 October) has discovered any arresting connections between the late Sir Eric Miller; the late Sir Denys Lowson or the present Messrs Poulson and Slater she must not be secretive about them. Perhaps Pooh Bear and Sindbad the Sailor should also be investigated.

But until such connections are established she has no cause to fear a revival of `Trollope's Victorian xenophobic antisemitism', merely because an article about the first gentleman omits all reference to the other five. Poor Trollope by the way. And does the English class at Bromley High School also learn that Charlotte Brontë was an arsonist?
