The usual prize of JO is offered for a conversation of not more than 150 words between two on- lookers inspired by this theme or, alter- natively, not more than 12 lines of verse on the subject. Competitors are free to imagine what improbable injuries they choose and may like to be reminded that Continental groups, Industrial Arts and many musicians and artists as well as the mom-al virtues figure on the Memorial.

Entries, addressed 'Spectator Competition No. 2I9,' 99 Gower Stmet, London, W.C.I, must be received not later than May 4th. Results in the Spectator of May 14th.
