The Shrine. (Elliot Stock. 1s. net.)—This is the second number
of a quarterly magazine, "published at Stratford-on-Avon." We welcome it, and hope that it will prosper. We would venture, however, to suggest that such articles as " Hamlet and Ophelia " and " Shakespeare and Falconry " will be the most generally acceptable to students of Shakespeare. The more we have of the poet, and the less of talk about the poet, the better. And let there be no minor poetry. It suggests a comparison which it is well not to make. We do not wish to depreciate the other matter that the editor gives us in this number, only to indicate what we feel sure is the right line to follow.
